Mrs. Annie Lee Davis was born to the late John Young and Mozelle Whitfield Young of Union Springs, Alabama, March 9, 1933.
Ann grew up in Union Springs, Alabama and graduated from Carver High School. After a successful career as a bookkeeper, she retired from the New York Board of Education.
At an early age, she surrendered her life to the Lord and joined St. Paul United Methodist Church; later she united with Greater Allen AME Cathedral Church in New York. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was united in marriage to the late Jessie Davis of Savannah, Georgia, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Annie Lee Davis' life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by her daughter, Patricia Smith, Scottsboro, AL; two sisters, Lucille Young, Far Rockaway, NY, Mary (Charles) Allen, Coconut Creek, FL; two nephews, Eric Allen, Tuskegee, AL; Elliott (Michele) Allen, Cambria Heights, NY; three great-nieces, Rhonda (Lamar) Hall, Harvest, AL, Racquel (Jerrell), Hill Houston, TX, Erica Allen, Brooklyn, NY; five great-nephews, Isiah and Aaron Allen, Cambria Heights, NY Eric Allen, Jr., Atlanta, GA; Xavier Allen, Brooklyn, NY; Christopher (Clarisse) Cephus, Riverdale, GA; two great-great-nieces, Lamarhea Hall, Atlanta, GA; Lauryn Hall, Harvest, AL; devoted cousins, Annie Ruth Fulpher and Gloria Rogers, Union Springs, AL., other relatives and family friends.
