Betty Jean Simmons was born August 22, 1953, to Tommie L. Larkin and the late Willie J. Simmons, Sr.  Betty was proceeded in death by a daughter Loretta Simmons and brother Willie J. Simmons, Jr.

Betty leaves to cherish precious memories two sons, Charles S. Simmons and Jessie Simmons both of Tuskegee, Alabama, a  very devoted grandson Jamel Campbell of Tuskegee, Alabama, six sisters, Bertha Moss of Fr. Davis, Alabama, Mary Sue Simmons of Union Springs, Alabama, Gloria Simmons of Tuskegee, Alabama, Annie (Harold) Blanchard, of Montgomery, Alabama, Elizabeth Larkin, and LeeAnn Larkin of Tuskegee, Alabama, five brothers, Charles E. Simmons, Patrick Simmons, Johnny Simmons all of Tuskegee, Alabama, Thomas (Katie) Larkin of Midway, Alabama, and David Larkin of Opelika, Alabama; three granddaughters, Valerie Simmons, Jeanetta Simmons, and Marietta Gachett; three grandsons, DeMichael Simmons, all of Dothan, Alabama, Anthony Cambell, Ta'Michael Felton, a devoted daughter Tandra Campbell all of Montgomery, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
