Deacon Comer Poesy of Union Springs, Alabama transitioned June 24, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1934, to the late Issac and Cora Thornton Posey. He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Comer Posey, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; two daughters Brenda (Willie) Thomas of Atlanta, GA and Shellie Posey of Tampa, Florida; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly. Public visitation was held on Friday, July 8,2022 at 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Streets of Gold Christian Chruch 110 Foster Road. Union Springs, Alabama 36089. Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 106 Holcombe Ave East, Union Springs, Alabama 36089. Interment Young Sardis Baptist Church, Highway 82 West, Union Springs, Alabama 36089.
