Mrs. Dorthy Skilbeck Peters or “Mom Peters” born on October 18, 1929, to Gerald & Ruth (Borland) Skilbeck at Kenosha, WI, After 95 years she transitioned to heaven on March 28, 2025.

At age 14 yrs she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior, and at age 19 married Orlo D. Peters. She walked away from a wealthy lifestyle to begin a full-time ministry with her husband in church-planting throughout the states. She & her husband later became staff members at Faith Farm Ministries in Fort Lauderdale, FL and retired after 15 years & moved to Alabama and they became associate Pastors at REACH Church. She was a strong, godly woman, devoted to God, to her husband, her children, ministry, & her community. Her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family was very evident. She had a saying, “She will not miss church anytime the doors are opened.” She enjoyed having tea parties with her grandchildren & pulling out her fancy China Dishes for family gatherings.

Dorothy is cherished by all who encountered her and left a beautiful legacy. She is proceeded by her loving husband Reverand Orlo D. Peters and leaves behind five children: 4 sons--David, Thomas, Robert, & Jon Peters and one daughter Kimberly Whitehead; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her love touched the hearts and lives of many people.
