Mrs. Jimmie “Muba” Youngblood-Mahone (99) was called home to be with our Lord and savior peacefully on July 8,2024 surrounded by loved ones. Jimmie was born on July 26,1924 in Union Spings, Alabama to the late Horace Youngblood and Roberta Harris-Youngblood. She grew up with five other siblings and she was also the youngest. At a young age, Jimmie joined Lowfield Missionary Baptist Church and was an active member until her health declined.
On September 22, 1967, Jimmie was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late J.T. Mahone. Through this union, they were blessed with eleven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Roberta Youngblood; husband, J.T. Mahone; two daughters, Geneva Youngblood and Dollie Jean Youngblood; two stepchildren, J.T Mahone and Bill Mahone; two son-in-laws, Earnest Mason and Bobby Jackson; grand-daughter, Sandra Youngblood-Jackson; great- grandchildren, Tierra Mahone and Jakeem Watkins; siblings, Mary Lou Baker, Eva Lou Allums, Tecola Paige, Albert Youngblood, and Arti Youngblood; three sister-in- laws, Annie Mae Youngblood, Sarah Pennington, and Rosa Duncan.
Her favorite pastimes included gardening, baking cakes and pies, and spending time with her loved ones. On Monday, July 8, 2024, Jimmie’s earthly life perished at home where comforted by loved ones. Her legacy lives on through her beloved children, Helen Mason (Union Springs, AL), Alice Jackson (Fort Walton Beach, FL), Earl (Dorothy) Youngblood (Fort Walton Beach, FL) Margaret Mahone (Union Springs, AL), Earnest Mahone (Union Springs, AL), Joann Mahone (Fort Myers, FL), Bobbie (Bennie) Johnson (Union Springs, AL), Edna Mahone (Union Springs, AL), and Perry (Annie) Mahone (Fort Myers, FL). Her love and memories are carried on by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. A loving and devoted cousin Fred Youngblood; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
